OMAR K. MILLS
THE ADULT IMPROVER
Omar started his chess career in 2021 after discovering the hit Netflix show "The Queen's Gambit". Since then he has dedicated his free time to pursuing his new-found passion for chess, including regular study in his custom designed chess cave!
Omar has a passion for learning and motivating others. You can find him playing online and on social media as ChessVonDoom. His favorite player is World Champion Magnus Carlsen.

IAN R. HARRIS
THE COACH
Ian learned chess at the age of eight and it quickly became a lifelong passion for him. Shortly after graduating from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in Psychology he became a National Master. He then went on to become a 3-time Connecticut State Champion.
He has over 10 years of experience coaching players of all ages and levels. In 2020 he founded RedBandit Chess, through which he teaches chess professionally. In recognition of his efforts over the years the Connecticut State Chess Association named Ian "Coach of the Year" in 2021
He is also co-founder of Sixty Four Squares, a chess training platform to enable learners to be organized and efficient throughout their chess improvement journey.
